Fretwork ("the Software") is a local-first desktop application. Your privacy is fundamental to how the Software is designed. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Software handles and, importantly, what it does not.
None. Fretwork does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that receive your data. We have no analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or usage monitoring of any kind.
All data you enter into Fretwork — including client information, time entries, invoices, and settings — is stored in a local SQLite database on your computer. This data never leaves your machine through the Software itself.
You are solely responsible for the security, backup, and management of your local data.
Fretwork supports optional integration with third-party large language models (LLMs) via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). When you configure and use these integrations:
The Software is a desktop application and does not use cookies. This website does not use cookies or any third-party tracking scripts.
Fretwork is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Since we do not collect or store any user data on our systems, there is no centralized data to breach. The security of your local data depends on your own device security practices.
Because all data resides locally on your machine, you have full and complete control over it at all times. You can view, modify, export, or delete your data by managing the local database file. No request to us is necessary.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you may contact us by opening an issue on the project's GitHub repository.
